Skinea by Claire does not collect any personal information. The app does not require account creation, email, name, or any identifiable data.

1.2 Usage and Technical Data

We may automatically collect limited, non-personal technical data to ensure the App functions correctly, including:

• Device type and operating system
• App version
• Crash logs and performance analytics

2. Product Scan & Ingredient Data

2.1 Barcode Scanning

When you scan a cosmetic product barcode, the App sends the barcode number to our servers to retrieve product information and ingredient details.

• No barcode images are stored.
• No personally identifiable data is attached to scans.

2.2 Ingredient Recognition & AI Processing

If a product lacks ingredient data, you may optionally upload a photo of the ingredient list so our AI can extract text.

• Ingredient photos are processed temporarily and deleted immediately after extraction.
• Only the extracted text and analysis results are kept on our servers to improve accuracy.

2.3 Use of Ingredient Data

Ingredient data is used to:

• Provide ingredient safety scoring
• Suggest safer or better alternatives
• Generate lists of recommended products by category
• Improve the accuracy of our database over time

Ingredient data is never linked to a user identity.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use non-personal data strictly to:

• Operate and improve the Skinea app
• Enhance ingredient recognition and product recommendations
• Improve app stability and search accuracy
• Fix bugs and optimize performance

We apply industry-standard security measures to protect all processed data. Although no digital system is fully secure, we take reasonable precautions to safeguard your information.

5. Storage & Retention

5.1 Scan Data

Barcode numbers may be stored anonymously to help maintain the quality of our database. No user identity is attached.

5.2 Ingredient Data

Photos are deleted immediately after AI processing. Extracted ingredient lists may be stored to improve product data accuracy.

6. Data Sharing

Skinea by Claire does not sell or share personal data, as we do not collect any.

Limited non-personal technical data may be shared only for essential services:

• To process in-app purchases (Apple / Google)
• To comply with legal requirements
• With trusted providers such as Firebase or AI processing services
